A New Robotics League Participation Grant is available, providing funds up to $5,000 to public schools, 2R and 2X charter schools and home-based educational programs to facilitate participation in robotics competitions.  The grant period will be for the 2016-2017 school year.  Click here for more information.

TDMAW is Now Accepting Applications for the Edward L. Simeth Scholarship.  This award gives up to $500.oo per semester to students currently enrolled in a Machine Tool Operations Program or Tool & Die Program, at any accredited Wisconsin technical college.  The deadline to apply for the fall 2016 semester is June 15, 2016.

TIME Grant offers On-the-Job Training Funding.  Is your company hiring a new grad with little or no work experience?  Maybe they did an internship with you or another company, but are not on your payroll.  They could qualify for funding, through the TIME Grant, saving your company 50-90% of their wages during a specific time period (usually around 300-320 hours)!  To learn more click here.

It’s a Member Benefit!  Did you know that TDMAW offers free classified ads in the Surgeons of Steel magazine?  Simply send your ad, 40 words or less, to the TDMAW Headquarters and we’ll run it for three months!  You can advertise new capabilities, equipment for sale or property for sale or lease.

We also welcome articles that you think would be of interest to your fellow TDMAW members, to be published in the Surgeons of Steel.    We are looking for 300-600 word articles, in Word format, and if you have pictures to include we would be happy to include those, as well.  Our readers are interested to hear about what TDMAW members are involved in, so please send in those articles!
