Beyond the Office: How IT Decisions Impact Downtime, Safety, and Quality
Join us for a valuable morning of insights, networking, and a hearty breakfast on April 13th TDMAW members, partners, sponsors, and their guests are invited!
Cybersecurity in manufacturing isn’t just about protecting office systems; it’s about protecting production. This educational, value-focused session explores how IT decisions directly impact downtime, safety, and product quality on the shop floor. Many manufacturers underestimate operational risk because cybersecurity is often framed as an IT issue rather than a production issue.
You will gain practical, real-world insights into how technology choices affect operational resilience and what steps can be taken to reduce disruption without slowing productivity. The session is designed to provide actionable takeaways that leaders can apply immediately or use to start internal discussions.
Speaker Bio:
Brett Surinak is the founder of Tech-Tastic, a boutique IT partner focused on supporting and securing manufacturers’ office and shop-floor systems without disrupting production.
With roots in his family’s manufacturing business, Brett gained hands-on shop-floor experience before moving into IT in 1999. Seeing how traditional IT often overlooked production, he developed a production-first approach centered on uptime, safety, and product quality.
In this session for TDMAW members, Brett shares practical, real-world insights to help leaders rethink IT as a key part of operational reliability and production success.
