Scholarships

The TDMAW is pleased to offer two scholarship options to assist students  currently enrolled in a Machine Tool Operations Program or Tool & Die Program at any accredited  Wisconsin technical college. These scholarships are sponsored by TDMAW Group Buying Partners: E. L. Simeth Company and  MSC Industrial Supply Company.

The Edward  L. Simeth Scholarship

Awards up  to $500 per semester for students enrolled in a Machine Tool Operations Program  or Tool & Die Program at any accredited Wisconsin technical college. To qualify,  applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Applicant must be resident of Wisconsin
  • Must complete the top portion of the application
  • Must complete an essay as directed on the  application form

Spring Semester Deadline to Apply: June 15 | Fall Semester Deadline to Apply: January 15

Scholarship Description

  |  Online Application – please upload your essay along with the online application.  Your essay should be no longer than one single-spaced typed page and should include:

  1. Why you are interested in precision metalworking
  2. Why you chose this occupation
  3. Your goals
  4. You may also include any information or special circumstances you wish to be considered when we evaluate your essay (i.e. how this scholarship will assist you).

A  program that awards deserving students  with a Kennedy 11-drawer steel toolboxes. Toolboxes are given to SE Wisconsin area technical colleges, Technical Education departments. Instructors at these colleges identify and  award the toolboxes to their most deserving students on behalf of MSC Industrial Supply Company and the Tool, Die & Machining Association of WI.

Students interested  in receiving these toolboxes should talk with the instructors at their school.  If the technical college you attend does not offer this cooperative program,  please contact the TDMAW headquarters at 262-532-2440 or via email at toolmaker@TDMAW.org.
