TDMAW COMMITTEES
Virtually all the activities take place in one or another committee. Typically, members become part of a committee by mentioning an interest to the committee chair, usually at the regular monthly meetings. Click on a committee title for more information.
Nominating Committee- Typically made up of longtime members, this committee looks for those willing to serve a leadership role as a director on the Board. The responsibilities of this committee are usually managed via phone calls and email., in late summer each year.
Membership/Programs committee - Very active with three goals:
1. Creates and encourages drives to identify new members and involve/retain current members.
2. Seeks timely topics and identifies speakers for member meetings.
3. Plans a causal Summer Outing, working to keep it affordable so members can bring employees.
Events Committees- Planning and organizing two social events each year. Typically these are the June outing, for a day of golf and fishing with a dinner, and a Post Holiday Party for members and spouses with dinner, dancing and entertainment. Door prizes and sponsors are sought to enhance both events.
Apprenticeship Committee- Members serving on a State Apprenticeship Board, that report to members on activities in the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Bureau of Apprenticeship Standards, and the Wisconsin Technical College System. There are no committee meetings.

Budget Committee- Chaired by the TDMAW Treasurer, this committee is made up of all committee chairs. The goal of the committee is to project and set an annual budget, and allow for reserves in an amount set by the Board of Directors. After Board approval, members at large are asked to approve the final budget.
Group Buying Committee- Seeks companies that have a vested interest in supporting our members and industry. The committee, in turn, encourages members to support our Partners.
