Industry Representation
Mandated by the need for more young people to seek careers in the precision metalworking industry, TDMAW worked with the NTMA and AMBA Milwaukee Chapters to form the Wisconsin Precision Metalworking Council (WPMC). The WPMC is also a collective voice to address State legislators. The WPMC represents over 6,000 employees in 200 companies.
Insurance - As an association member you are eligible for our group health, property and liability, andworker's compensation coverage programs available through Federated Insurance. The most significant factor for working with Federated, is that each program offers excellent service and quality coverage backed by competitive pricing (get a quick quote). Group Partners - There are a number of Group Buying Partners (local companies) that give substantial discounts to TDMAW Members.
Member Directories - In addition to our online listing member information is available in our printed directory. The printed directory details members' shop capabilities for enhanced networking opportunities and is available to members only.
Video Library - Federated Insurance has supplied the TDMAW administrative office with 13 educational videos. As a membership benefit, we loan them free to members to share with their employees for safety meetings.
Management & Employee Training - TDMAW offers educational courses specifically geared for our industry. Since 1997, we have held a number of courses for members at substantially reduced rates. Watch our newsletter for future training.
Scholarships - TDMAW is pleased to offer two scholarship options to assist students enrolled in a Machine Tool Operations Program or Tool & Die Program at any accredited Wisconsin technical college. Monthly Meetings - Take advantage of networking opportunities with like companies during our social hour. Following cocktails, choose from three full dinner offerings for only $10! The TDMAW picks up the remaining cost of your meal- it's like a $10 gift certificate for each meeting you attend. See our calendar for upcoming events.
Post Holiday Party - In January of each year we sponsor a Post Holiday Party for members and their spouses to enjoy an evening of dining & dancing. One couple from each member company is invited to attend at a drastically reduced price - a $125 value!
June Outing - In June of each year we host an outing where members choose between golf and Lake Michigan fishing. The committee works very hard to make this outing one to rival any other, so there are always ample door prizes at the dinner following the day's events. This $125 value is free for one person per member company each year.
Summer Outing - This out takes place in August each year. Join us for a fun, casual evening of 9-holes of golf and a cookout. Attendance is open to members, member representatives, employees, families, friends, and Group Buying Partners and their guests.
